Epitaphs can be chosen by the deceased beforehand while others are chosen by those responsible for the burial. Epitaphs on cemetery memorials can also take the shape of aphorisms, holy texts, or humorous and witty sayings.
A life that touched the hearts of others lives on forever.
My trust is in God.
To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Asleep in Jesus.
Meet me in Heaven.
Love illumes the realms of night.
In my Father's House are many mansions.
To die is gain.
At rest in Heaven.
We trust our loss will be her gain and that with Christ she's gone to reign.
She was the sunshine of our home.
Thy trials ended thy rest is won.
Legacy Headstone Epitaphs
The Epitaphs chosen for headstones and monuments are the most crucial and touching aspect of the entire funeral monument design process. The decisions families make on the preparation of gravestone epitaphs encompass a wide range of thoughts and feelings, and your final decision on an appropriate epitaph should not only reflect the importance of your lost loved one, it should remain clear and legible for generations to come. Epitaphs are chosen for many reasons, sometimes to summarize the role of our lost loved ones in life, such as the qualities of being a devoted father or husband, and sometimes to leave lasting messages on memorials and monuments for the living to contemplate during their ongoing lives. Epitaphs for headstones can be chosen by the deceased beforehand, or can be chosen by those responsible for the burial. In choosing your epitaphs, remember that epitaphs on most grave markers take the shape of aphorisms, holy texts, or witty and profound maxims that reflect the life of our loved ones. (Read more…)
Our 500 Year Guarantee
To ensure that your epitaphs remain clear and legible for generations to come, Legacy guarantees all our monuments and headstones against natural deterioration, cracking and discoloration for 500 Years. We can make this guarantee because we use only the finest granite in the world.
All our tombstones and gravestones are fabricated from True Granite, a natural stone that is extremely durable, and will resist continually changing atmosphere and environmental conditions. True Granite is so named for the percentage of quartz and feldspar it contains, and the longevity of True Granite makes it a vastly superior material for memorial monuments.
Colored marble and limestone show the first signs of weathering between 25-75 years after initial placement, and white marble will last 100 -150 years before succumbing to the elements. But the best grades of small-grained granite remain standing with clear epitaphs after more than 500 years, making True Granite the best possible material choice for your gravestones and headstones.
Engraving your Epitaphs
All of the text and artwork applications on our memorial monuments are done with engraving equipment that cuts deeply into the headstone using high-pressure sandblasting. We use double processed lettering for a clearer deeper letter, and we employ a state of the art computerized Kern laser engraving operation to provide a perfect finish on your epitaph. This laser-etching process allows photograph-quality pictures, artwork, and text to be cleanly engraved on our monuments and headstones. We find that this process is absolutely ideal for etching images, scenery, and epitaphs onto a memorial or monument that will remain clearly visible for many, many years.
